If you really wanted to do some online shopping.. here are the best places to do some online shopping offering great deals
1. Collections Etc. - nothing is over $20. :D Most of the things you will find here are mostly $15 with a very reasonable price for shipping and handling. Just make sure to read very carefuly of the product description and size , so you'll know exactly what you are trying to buy.
2. HobbyTron - this is a toy shopping site. But be warned that there are times that toy's description are not found.
3. Harriet Carter - you can find pet items and organizers at a very reasonable price.
4. The Lakeside Collection - it has great selection for gidts and stuffs for home and garden.
5. Sportsman Guide - if your looking for great deals on clothes.. you can find it here. Be sure to sign up for email deals, too.
6. Stuff Kids Like - deals on toys but good thing about this site is that you can browse for suggestions for each toy category.
7. Create for Less Craft Supplies - They offer wholesale prices on craft supplies.
8. Amazon.com - Who doesn't know about amazon's online shopping?? They have great deal and you'll never get disappoited. You just have to be aware of the difference when ordering directly from Amazon or one of their featured shops, as it makes a great difference if you wanted to qualify for free shipping.
9. Cheaper Than Dirt - This is for camping equipments and army surplus items.
Those are all the online shopping stores that I can think of. But, even if you have this long list of online shops you still have to consider a few things before making purchases. Or else, you will end up spending more than you were suppose to. Here are a few basic things if you wanted to look for other online shops.
1. Identifying info - do you know who you're dealing with?
You have to know if the website provides contact information, such as physical address (not just any PO BOX), phone number and fax, This is important just in case something goes wrong like your package tracking status and incorrect credit card charges.
2. Description of the product - Make sure that the items you are buying have been clearly described and suits your needs.
3. Cost and currency - you have to know the final cost of the product specially of the charge they will going to charge your credit card. That mean, including the delivery and the handling costs.
4. Confirm your order if it is correct.
5. Privacy - you have to check the website privacy policy on how they deal with personal information
6. Payment mechanism - You have to know the security of any online payment by credit card that they provide. Check if they use secure sockets layer (SSL). The site should tell you that you are entering a secure online environment before you start to provide your credit card details.
7. Beware of internet scams! Try browsing a couple of sites that gives information about online shopping & auction scams, domain name renewal scams, spam offers, and free offers in the internet. Also, watch out for modem jacking, spyware and keyloggers. :D
