Last night's episode has sparked a great debate across the internet as to whether the writers went too far with the story. What are your feelings? Did 24 go too far in detonating a nuke in LA? Is it just a case of fearmongering? How far is too far?

24 has been that way since the start. This certainly isn't the first time they have dealt with terrorists, or nukes ... though it's the first nuke to detonate. I don't think it's fear mongeraing at all ... its just TV. I think real life politicians on TV do much more fearmongering...

Very good points. Didn't they set off a nuke a few years ago?

I don't think they went to far....I have not missed a minute of the new season....to me it's the best one yet. Just because you don't show it or talk about it dosen't make the possibilty for that to ever happen go away....but I go on with my daly life and just hope that we will never see the day of a nuke being detonated anywhere in the world again.

Thanks for the comment. I agree. I think it's entertainment and people are just blowing it out of proportion.

in all honesty, i love 24 and think that the plot is the best yet. (i still cant believe Jack had to kill curtis!) The show doesnt have to be based on things that can or will happen, but things that will get the watchers attention. and im pretty sure that they have it.

I tend to agree with you. It's entertainment. Of course we have to realize in this day and time that something like this could happen. It's not the first time it's be portrayed, nor is it the first time we've been told it could happen. I think it's just good, exciting TV. Far better than any "reality" show going.
