the first song i heard of metallica was the same thing,, nothing else matters.=) my band even made a remake of this... but without the lyrics... it's kinda like for an OST. message me if you would like to hear our version of this..=)

The first song I've heard from Metallica...well, those are some old memories, let me see. I think it was "Enter Sandman", when I was about some 8 years old or so...I remember not being able to sleep the night I've seen that videoclip, since it looked so scary for me, haha. It is also still one of my favorite Metallica songs of nowadays.

I think it was Enter Sandman...my favorite songs now are Hero of the Day (from Load) and The Unforgiven II (from Reload). I didn't start listening to them actively until 1998 (but first heard them in 1988!) because of a guy I worked with. Helped me get a lot of anger out during that year... God, James' growl is just sooooooo sexy....I wish he got divorced instead of Lars! Now if they'd just go on tour in this year or next, I would be so happy!

The first song I remember hearing from Metallica was "One" I remember the video was so hypnotizing and sad. I was just 7 or 8 when I got into them. They were the first band I really listened to. It's all because of my neighbors. I walked into their yard to pet their dog through the fence to the backyard, and they were sitting back their listening to Metallica records. They invited my to listen, even gave me lemonade, and showed me the back of the record and talked to me about the lyrics. It became a regular thing for me to come visit, listen to music and play with their dog. They were very nice people and I will never forget them.

Unlike many others here my first Metallica song was Fuel and that too i had the MTV ICON version...So i just decided to check out the original...And liked it instantly !!!!...And then came Nothing Else Matters and ONE and i was gripped in metallica-mania...!!!!.......

hwy guys , i was in one of my frineds hous around 8 years ago in tehran and he was playin some clip on his computer , suddnly i saw one gye is turning his head around and the music of that song was amazing and i remember that i sat and watched it 4 more time . after sometimes when i foun my self a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig fan of metallica , i realized that day i was listening to " SAD BUT TRUE" i steel love this song and it was the first song iv heard from these giants of electric guitar, have fun
