How do I Attract more Responses for a given Discussion?

I've never had more than 8 responses for any of my discussions. Ok I understand discussions I started must have been stupid, but I can see relatively boring topics get lot more responses than I do. What's the trick?

Hi. I dont think any discussions are stupid. Not even yours. Im still learning here on mylot and i have 5 open discussion topis that no one has answered so far, but im sure they will sometime soon. try to be patient. I know it is hard, but try to hang in there. I wish us all the best.
