No, because I feel that marriage was created by God to be between a man and woman. Not a man and a man or a woman and a woman.

It is not treating them differently, it is as simple as marriage is a sacred bow before God.

I think a distinction must be drawn between legality and morality. Morality is bahavior dictated by the individuals belief system, legality is the system of laws that a society chooses to live by. Sometimes they are the same sometimes they are not. I would make a distinction between legal marriage and marriage within a church. After all, God was also against divorce but allowed for the legal 'putting away' of one's wife. Matthew 5:31-32. After that anyone who lies with her commits adultery, according to the Bible (curiously it doesn't mention the husband, hmm). Yet this so called 'moral Christian' country is rife with people living together without marriage and multiple marriages. I think that is no more or less wrong than homosexual relationships. So, legally, yes. Morally, no.

Yes. Why not? Most of the governmental objections to gay marriage come from lobbyist groups that are run by big business. The strongest objections come from the insurance industry, as they make more money from a "gay" couple as individual policies than they would from a "family" policy if they were allowed to legally marry. Religious groups object because of the "it's against God's will" mindset they have. Funny how they see your ability to be worthy of God's love is based on sexuality. But, then again, the irony of the church objecting to the "gay lifestyle" as they move priests around from church to church because of the fact that they molest young boys (which according to them is NOT gay) just tells you that maybe the church does not have all the answers. I am straight, but have had many gay friends for years, and most days the way the "straight" community treats gays makes me almost ashamed that I am striaght. But, I am very much for gay marriage, as they are people too and deserve the same rights that we all have.
