Which manufacturer do you prefer? As for me, I prefer AMD. It is cheaper and performs just like an Intel. How about you?

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you!

I am an AMD user too. I hardly see any difference in the performance of a Sempron and a P4 (I have two desktops here at my house). AMD chips are always cheaper than Intels and they perform just like a Pentium. =)

I am the same as u :D ... I prefer AMD .. it is cheaper than intel but perform pretty well comparet to the cost if I should get Intel the same perfomance (perfomance not clock cycle) ... I use my amd pc for everyday usage .. from office, burning, printing image (photo q), gaming (last game fabel) ... all ...

Yeah. AMD is a great brand. But I am curious of the previous post about Intel's quadcore CPUs.. I hope AMD wil have something like that too. Whew quadcores will be powerful CPUs.

Gamers really get the best out of AMD processors. =) Especially the 64-bit Athlon. It performs just like an Intel P4 and is cheaper. =)

if you are in a tight budget and you are for gaming, AMD is th right choice but for multi tasking jobs, Intel would be the best choice...

Yeah I agree. But with the upcoming quadcore CPUs from AMD, I think it will be better choice for multitasking jobs. =)

Yeah. It is superb for gaming. I think with Intel, you buy their name with their processors, thus the price. AMD CPUs are a lot cheaper than Intel CPUs.

You have a point there. Intel has proven itself in the microprocessor industry. It's just that AMD's chips are cheaper than Intel's.

AMD is better because it has better FSB speed, causes less heat generation, has more L1 cache memory and consumes less power.

I like Intel much more, although it is much more expensive. I think it works better.
