Associated Content; Looking for Info/Experiences

I've seen a site called Associated Content mentioned by several members here at Mylot. I'm curious; can anyone write for them as long as you live in the US? Do they have certain types of content they're looking for? Do they tend to want seasoned professionals as contributors? How do they pay, check, paypal, or direct deposit? Finally, how often do they pay; monthly, weekly, per article? I realize they probably have a FAQ, which I do plan to read, but I'm more interested in hearing from real users. I'm considering checking them out; perhapse I can contribute some interesting viewpoints and information. Thanks.

They pay three times a week, I think-- Mon, Wed, Fri-- so you'll get paid pretty quickly once the article is approved. Sometimes it can take 5 days or more to get the article reviewed, though.

Look at their emails, messages, etc for the Content Special Offers--these are topics for which they'll pay a guaranteed amount. I like these because I know what I'm going to get paid before I write. A couple of articles I worked hard on and only got offered $3 or $4, which was pretty disappointing. They also have some offers where you find X amount of mentions of some topic in different AC stories, you can win a prize. They're usually offering some kind of non-writing prize. They also pay for audio and video content, which might pay a bit more than articles, I've never tried it.

Thanks for the info...I admit, I think I like their policy of paying per article better than having to wait until the end of the month or whatever like you have to with other sites. Knowing your going to get paid quickly and regularly, to me, makes them an easier site to work with.

Associated content is wonderful! I have been looking for a long time for a legitimate online "job". I could not find anything, that is until I found associated content. Anyone can write for them-you need to have good spelling and grammar skills. You can write on any topic that you choose and feel comfortable writing on. I do alot on pregnancy related items. The pay is $3-$20 per article you write. The better the article, the better the pay. I have submitted 8 articles, 7 of them were published and I have received $86 dollars. Now I have about 26 pending payment. Every few weeks they will send a message with requested content that they are looking for. Usually, they will tell you what they will pay for those type things. They pay per article-when they review it, they will make an offer for you. I have nothing but good things to say about them-except, it does seem to take about 10 days for them to review submitted articles! Now that I know they DO pay, I will be writing more and hopefully make some good money since I am a stay at home mom. Good luck!

Yeah...In their terms, I see they say it can take up to five business days to read the article and make an offer, then you have to accept it, and then confirm your Paypal email address, and then they'll pay you in three business days from the time you confirm the paypal address...I went ahead and set mine to auto-confirm, which they claim speeds up the process. Looks to be an interesting site...Hopefully, the writing bug will continue to hit me with inspiration, and I'll be able to get some articles up there and make a few bucks in my spare time. My ONLY complaint about the site is, as a blind person, I had trouble with one spot of the sign-up...I was able to navigate the site with JAWS, my screenreading software, just fine...But when it comes to having to select an avatar, unlike most sites I've dealt with, they don't have text descriptions next to the checkbox for each avatar, so I frankly have NO IDEA what avatar I selected...probably something completely unfitting. I plan to contact them about that. Otherwise, everything else on the site looks to be quite accessible, and I had no trouble writing and submitting an article.

Yes if you live in the US you can write for them. You can almost write about anything you can think of. Amatures are ok. Believe me I am no writer and they paid me $8, and $7 for my writings. I reviewed a business and wrote an article about baby feedings. They paid me by pay pal and I think they only pay once a month. I have also receive a couple referral fees of $2 or $3 that is paid once a month too. If you haven't signed up yet, I do have a link on my profile page if your interested. Lisa

BTW, I did sign up with your link...I've submitted my first article, a piece about XM Satellite Radio and SatRad in general, and am just waiting for them to let me know whether it's one they'll pay for and how much. :)

They pay through paypal and your paid as your articles are reviewed and after you accept the offer they give you. Anyone can write for them and you can write about anything. Anyone that lives in the US can write and get paid by them. You are paid by the article, as I think I've stated above.

It's pretty simple...you sign up and can write no problem if you live in the US. But don't expect say $25-100 per article. They don't mind beginner writers. They have a newsletter that you can sign up for that includes the content that they are looking for. They usually offer a special offer of $8.00 minimum bid to write about a certain topic.

Yes...From what I understand, you have to be a US resident, at least to get paid for your articles...Not sure if they'll take unpaid submissions from outside the US; you might check the FAQ at their site, associatedcontent.com.
