the star signifies the ratings mylot has given to members and to those who replied to the discussions being takled. the highest is 10 and 1 is the lowest. so if u open one of your discussion and saw a star above, that's the rating of the discussion and the replies of other members.

That is another ratign star after you reach 100 in the ( ) by your name you will get a star also with a number from 1 to 10 in it.
