good question! if you give me million dollars right now, i will donate that amount to that charitable institution who works for needy and poor men. there are lots of needy people around the world who really need this amount of money just to live little better. i can't able to use one million dollars for me, because one million dollar is such a amount which is almost sufficient to fulfil your dreams.
All the dreams i have either i fulfilled them or i am very confident that they will be fulfilled in near future and at the right moment.

Wouldn't it be better if you get some insurance that will return some interest or returns on the money you invested, and then use part or all of that return to do charity instead?
That way, you get covered for the insurance, and you get to do charity at the same time!
Win win situation. And the charity contributions will be long term. Rather than a one time donation that will eventual be spent anyways.
With the above mentioned proposal, you get to donate regularly on an annual basis. That would be so much better than just doing a one time donation. No?

well it won't be too difficult given prices these days. and a million dollars isn't what it used to be. here where i am, a condominium apartment in the suburbs will cost that much. worst thing is the apartment only has two bedrooms. 
so i guess i'll take the million dollars and go buy a condominium apartment.

Ha ha ha ha ha... I may do that as well. Select a prime unit in the middle of town and rent it out to the expats that are coming here to work.
Then use that money as a source of income.
And if the income is good, maybe even invest in another unit using that rent as the installment for the second unit.

hahaha that's exactly what i was thinking of. hopefully i'll be able to save enough to pay the down payment on an apartment. it's getting more and more difficult to save. what with the price increases. not to mention the stagnation of wages. i really wish someone will give me a million dollars. fairy godmother, are you listening to me?

Oh I know i would be able to spend it all in one day I have adaughter she would be the spoiledest baby around this town. I wouldnt be living in this town anymore and I would invest and buy a house n then buy apartments to rent out myself to earn more money off that money!! I would have a new car as well as all my bills would be taken care of!! I would also take a certain percentand donate it to help the poor and sickly!! Money is everything and i wish I did have a million dollars because so much would b done with it!!

I think I can spend that kind of amount of money especially here in the Philippines. 1 million dollars is equivalent to 45 million pesos. First, I'll go to an architect and ask him to design me a house worth 15 million pesos. Then I will go to the porsche dealer and but a 911 carrera for 8 million pesos. Then go the BMW car dealer and buy a 7 series car for 12 million pesos. The 10 million remaining I will set up to form a real-estate company or buy a franchise of jolibee. 1 million dollars gone in one day.

i will probably invest the money in a bussiness, buy insurance policy, buy things for bussiness, or buy a house... if there still money left, maybe donate it to the needy.
