Here's a link to a page that explains what some researchers think is the cause of almost half of all asthma cases. What do you think? http://www.asthmastory.com/index.asp

I read this guy's story when my local paper published it a couple of years ago. Both my daughters have asthma, and each contracted it after a long respiratory illness. I'd talked to their pediatrician about doing the intense antibiotic therapy he described, but her opinion was that we should wait a few years to see if the girls outgrew the asthma before taking on a risky treatment. I do love that she was open-minded enough to want to read the article. So far, her judgement was spot-on... their asthma has significantly improved over the years. I don't think we've used the nebulizer once this winter.

That is some eye-opening research , thanks for the link . What interested me most was the number of cases that were locked into STEROID use which is a hazard of asthma treatment , how these cases managed to get rid of the need for steroids with this regimen .This will have the greatest impact in paediatric medicine where STEROIDS are most harmful (children) This information should be delivered to all asthmatics and parents of asthmatic children . Thank you also for your post in my discussion .
