I am from right in the middle of the melting pot. I live in central Kansas. In my community in Kansas, we have a unique May celebration called "All Schools Day" It is a parade tradition that is well over onehundred years old.It originated to celebrate eighth grade graduates, as that was often ther furthest students went with their formal schooling. Now we celebrate all levels of school from preschool through college. We celebrate veterans, and police, and firemen. We have marching bands and floats, and horses and clowns. I like the fact that a local college dresses in white coveralls and covers the parade route at the end to pick up eveyone's trash. Great community service.

Greetings from Canada! Here is some information on my country.
Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world in area, after Russia, and has the longest coastline of any country in the world, being next to the Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic Oceans.
Around 30 million people live in Canada's ten provinces and three territories.

Since Canada is so large we are very diverse from region to region, much like the differing states south of the border.
Right now in Toronto, where I live we are under an extreme cold weather alert, but for the most part we are not frzen all her round as I have heard people say before. It is a myth we all live in igloos ... ;)
Cheers!
