What is really that "Make Interesting Topics" they are talking about?

I dont know if someone have the same problem but I'm really having a hard time getting some replies.
They always say that you should make an interesting topic. So what is that "interesting topic"? I can't seem to figure out because the topics that gets a lot of replies are different from each other. Some are really nice topics with good points while some are just "What is your" blah blah. So I cant figure out.
I also dont think that my topics are being recognized. With so many topics posted at once, it can't be seen in the first page of new discussions in seconds. I wonder how to make a particular topic visible to everybody. The good chance is only in the "friend's discussion page". But unfortunately I only have a very few friends and they are not replying to my topic. Lol.
Maybe someone can help me.

I find the only way to make it more visible is in with your friends also . I don't really know how you can make one topic better then someone else's . Also I have noticed that I will put up a topic and no one will respond to it but then someone else will put up the exact same thing I did and just word it a little different and will get tons of responses . Just keep putting them out there . From what I can gather we all have discussions up there that no one has taken the time to answer . Try getting more friends that will reply to your discussions and ditch the one's who don't . Eventually you will have only friends who take the time to answer your discussions . The friends I have are generally always the first I go to check out before I answer someone else's .

I see your comment but it is partial i think. Interseting topic only replated to you individual. If u say that this my interesting topic then that one is your interesting topic. Only friends are taking part. So making good and lot of friend is not actually full your interset but if any friend taking interest in to your intersting topic then is become more interesting for you.

hi,My dear friend, don't think too much and waste your enegy.I am asking you why we start discussions and wait for responses and feel bad.You go on giving response to others discussions.Getting responses is a million dollar question,we can't judge also.So you want money and fun,so you give responses to whatever you want....Don't mistake me,i am your friend.all th best and have a nice day.

Interesting topics are topics that everyone can use and read and be filled with good information that people want to informe themselves of. Something interesting is some general that is useful for anytime and anytime. For example, writting about health care, fitness, sexuality, love, insurances, real life stories and experiences are things that could be interesting for others to look for and read. I hope this helps.

You're right in that it's very difficult to figure out what exactly an 'interesting topic' is. Sometimes you just have to experiment and post several different types of things to see what gets the best response. But I will tell you what has helped me more than anything. Keep making friends on the site. Not just by asking people to be your friends, but by replying to people's topics. Like, find a user that posts topics that you like, and reply to several of their topics at a time. Then ask to be their friend, or see if they notice and ask you to be their friend. After awhile you'll see that more and mre of these people will start to reply to your topics. This is what happened for me. I used to get almost no replies, but now I have some friends who will usually reply if they get a chance, and that helps get my topics into the hot topics of the day pages, where more and more people see them.
If that all fails for you, you can always just reply to other people's discussions. That is an easier way to make money, anyway, if you ask me, since you always get a point by your name for your first reply to a topic. You don't get paid for starting your own topic unless someone replies to it, as far as I can tell.

Try adding people that seem to have similar intrests as you, and keep responding to their discussions, and maybe they will respond to yours too. it helps also if you put your discussion in the proper intrest. the highest response i got was 40, which isn't bad, but it was one oout of i'd say near 20 discussions i've posted. just be patient and keep on trying :)

Nice 40 replies. I just realized that posting your discussion in the proper interest helps. I actually tried it in this topic and having atleast 4 replies is I think the highest reply I got so far. I guess I have to really patient on this one. Thank you for the tips.

I have this problem too, but it's not a big deal to me. What I am having a problem with is finding discussions that interest me enough to respond. I will read through tens of tens of discussions and posts and not find anything I care to comment on.
I guess we just have to accept that as the nature of the beast. Patience is a virtue, is it not? I do know that having lots of friends helps, but I don't accept just any friends. I accept friends who have similar interests to my own.
Let's put our heads together and come up with a viable discussion! ;-)

Interesting points. And I guess "interesting" means different things to different people so there is no "hard and fast" rule. I agree that the topics on the main discussion page vary considerably and you can never really tell what wpll become a "popular" discussion and what won't. Good Luck with everything anyway.

I think you have to need some luck, not only interesting topics. Sometimes you don't really know if the topic is interesting for other people while you think it's a great discussion. So maybe making interesting topics are topics every one could discuss in, everyone knows about, and that is much like facts and weather, but people have to post comments and sometimes they maybe haven't got the strength to think about it so hold it simple also I think.

Old myLot users always saying that we should start an interesting topic so that we can have many responses each day. I guess interesting ones are those topics in general and are applicable to all people of all ages and races. It's difficult to think of such interesting topics but if you are willing to earn money, then don't give up.

I'm having the exact same problem except that till now I have ZERO response. I really don't know what topics are considered interesting as I have started discussions in many areas till date... well, err... not that many but for the few days I'm here, it's considered quite a lot.

Hi. I think with so many users of mylot, some posts or discussions get put on the back burner for a while. I have noticed that I make posts but by the time I do to see the new posts, it has already been shoved to the next page of psosts because there are alot of active members here posting topics. Most of the topics here interest me. Im not real picky on what I choose to respond to. It is just that it is alot easier to reply to the freshest new post that you see. You will get posts and replies especially from this post here. I have a few posts also that havent gotten any replies but Im sure they will sooner or later. Just hang in there with us. This is a very busy site.

Hi
Yes it is difficult this one.
Sometimes you wonder just what it is that you have to post to get any "Interest"
I spend a lot of my time reading and answering, and not a lot of posting!!!
I guess I am fortuante that when I do think of something it attracts a few responses though!

i really dont know what to tell you because ive been asking myself the same thing. i try to post philosophical questions or questions that make you at least think and can turn into a nice discussion/debate, but people dont seen to respond to those types of discussions. i guess most people here just dont want to take time to think about something important. instead, they'd rather reply quickly to a simple discussion just to make som easy money. its unfortunate, because im not the type of person to just post stupid questions just for the sake of starting a discussion.

I myself have found that you get a better response talking about contraversial issues. Everyone has an opinion. Talking about the war and bush really seems to be a big topic here.
