My sister in law is a christian and she has got lukemia. She has been told that she has 6-8 months left to live as the lukemia is very agressive and she has already had 2 unsucessful bone marrow transplants, so there is nothing more the doctors can do. Even though she has been told that she has 6 - 8 months left, she believes that God will heal her and is very positive about the whole situation. What I want to know is how do you keep you faith in God, when you have been told there is no way out. I admire my sister in law, I am just not sure I could have that much faith.

I am very sorry for your sister in law's illness, and I'm sure that her Faith is much comfort to her. Remember, Faith tells us that she will be Home with Our Father. I know its scary, and I don't want her to suffer, but her attitude is what she needs right now. Be supportive and love her. Learn from her. She is teaching you a lesson if you pay attention.
God Bless.

I am sorry to hear about your sister-in-law.
Please understand that God has not made her sick. The Bible tells us that the enemy (the devil) comes to kill, steal and destroy. There is your true culprit.
She is right to believe that God will heal her. God is always willing and able to heal us. It is up to us to accept that healing and faith in God is the only way.
The Bible also tells us that if any two on earth agree touching anything they shall have it.
Please read Mark 11:22-24. Start saying to the mountain to jump into the sea. Build up your faith by studying the Word of God and then hook your faith up with hers. You have to believe without any doubt that this is possible.
I have seen people healed from diseases and I have seen limbs grow out. I know that her healing is not impossible.
The Bible tells us that "All things are possible through Christ".
Do not let the enemy rob you of your faith. Pour yourself into the scriptures. Read them aloud to yourself. The Bible says that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."
Please believe with her for her healing. Plead the blood of Jesus over her and delcare her healed in Jesus name.
God bless you.

well first of all , Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?
I believe there is some sort of higher power but not the smoke and mirrors that has been programmed into us. Religioun practice bigotry, is confining and keeps us from growing when it takes away self- accountability. How are we accountable when everything is the "will of God" Why bother praying asking God to do what "he" is going to do anyway. And while we are at it, why would there be Pearly Gates? That means there is a fence up there and like who is going to break into heaven? No religion has all the answers because none of them have "The Word of God" When people worship a book (the HOLY bible) they get blinded to reality. That is the reason fundamentalists hate science as it disproves their dogma.

You should be more positive, more optimistic. Don't you ever lose faith in God. Your sister in law should try to live to the full, although you never know what destiny is hiding for her. Hope she could regain her health.

I have always been a believer in God, and have had faith that He will see me through anything that life may throw my way. Many times during the past 10-12 years that faith has been challenged, but as Isaiah 40:31 says, "Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." I am a poet and have questioned my talent many times throughout my lifetime because I would write things that would touch the heart of the reader and then it would be stacked in a box where no one would see it again. In 1998 I began praying that God would make a way for me to write for His glory. I had a light stroke in July of that year, and while I was recovering I wrote. I did not have a way to pay my bills nor anything else as I had no income whatsoever. I began to recover and went back on the road as a truck driver, still praying earnestly that God would make a way for me to write for His glory. I was still writing some, but I was wanting a way to make a living with my writing. In December of 1999 I suffered a major heart attack, the second one, and while recovering I wrote. Then I went back on the road to make my "living." In June of 2002, I suffered my 3rd heart attack, and could never return to trucking so I filed for SSDI. I'm still waiting for that, and have had no income since that time, but God has sustained me, and has allowed me ample time for writing for His glory, but yet there has never been any income from my writings. Yesterday morning I met with a fellow poet who has several books of poetry published, and he has agreed to assist me in getting my first book of poetry published. God's ways are not our ways. I have gone through hell these past few years due to no income, which I still do not have, but He has been faithful in sustaining me (Psalms 55:22). God works in mysterious ways. Perhaps your sister in law's illness is to be a lesson to you about faith. And healing comes in many ways. I'll be praying for you both. God bless.

ya i belive in god, and iam a orthodox kind of a person, the basic thing which keeps me a firm beliver is the holy quran. i regulary read the holy quran and try to understand it, the only thing which increases my faith is if it was not written by god then by whome it was written as it doesnot contain any mistake.

One thing I've seen over and over since i was a young girl is that the doctors can tell you a time frame based on the level of cancer how long you might have to live. I've seen so many people live way past that and in some cases the cancer nowhere to be found. God doesn't pose this illness on us but if it's not our time to go he will heal. It's usually the person stricken with the illness that can trust God more than the family can. Alot of people come closer to God and find peace with God durring this type of illness.

Our faith in God must be truly based on God and who He is. The better we understand the attributes of God, the more we can trust His promises. God dearly loves His children, and any Christian can know that whatever God allows in their lives is truly for their best. God's love is perfect and never fails. God's love is always supported by His infinite strength and wisdom. All of our days are numbered by Him. I hope your sister-in-law is healed and that she goes on to live many years giving God the glory. However, I have no way to know if that is God's perfect plan for her.
God is not limited by our circumstances. Likewise, we must not let our faith be determined by our circumstances. Through time in God's word, prayer and the powerful working of the Holy Spirit, God does grant the grace needed for His saints to stand strong in the time of crisis.

I have strong faith in God I believe that when God is ready for you than and only then will he take you to his home..regardless what the doctors say if the Lord is not ready for you than you are not going to leave this world only God knows when you are going to die..the doctors can assume that you have so long to live ,but it is God who has the final say and I too admire your sister-in-law for haveing such strong faith in the Lord I will pray for to have a full and happy life
