Who is your favorite Metallica bassist?

I was thinking of his while listening to Ride the Lightning recently. I was just getting into Metallica when Cliff died and basically grew up on Newstead, but to me Cliff was far stronger.

I love d original metallica d best..and i think d main reason 4 tat was they're bassist!! so i'm gonna go wit cliff burton.. hail cliff \m/ R.I.P

I think Cliff Burton was the most talented bassist Metallica ever had by far and you see that alone by the song Anasthesia (Pulling Teath), where he has the spotlight aimed at him in what is probably one of the best songs with a bass taking a prime role. I also liked Newstead a lot though and was quite upset at the band when they decided to threw him off the group. I am not impressed at all by Trujillo, I think he has never fit so well into the whole picture.
