Mother or father

two of them are responsible for the growth of the child. It is not about on of them. And mother and father have to take their part of culture of the growing child. About that which one is closer to the child - mother or father, it is to the child ;) And the parents of course. Their conduct to it will define which one is closer and which one understand it better :)

I say it depends on the culture and society. Some cultures, women work and men nuture the children. Others, moms do the nurturing. And others, the men rule. Overall, I would say it is both mom and dad that are responsible, but children tend to be closer to moms. But, not always, it depends on their personalities and character too.

the growth,mental ability,characteristics,behaviour are not dependent on either mom or dad.it depends on both.Hence the responsibility of growing the child as a good human being also depends on both of them.The child gets care and love from mom.Most of the children attitude and behaviour depends largely on what they see in their dad.

I think both are responsible for the growth of the child. Usually the mother is the closest to the child. I said "Usually" means not always, some people is closer to their father. But again "Usually" children will look at their father as their role model and when they became adult they want to become just like their father but that does not the same in every family, its just mostly its like that. While a stau at home mother should teach their child manner and other things by telling them while father usually have to show them.

Raising a child has to be a joint effort by both parents. I don't think a child will grow up properly with all the important values if only his mom or his dad that is raising him. Both parents has to be responsible for this.
