Ok - so no one is perfect, and we all do things that upset or irritate our partners or work colleagues - but what things annoy you? And I'm not talking about the really big, life-changing, importantg things here - just small, everyday things that drive you crazy!! For instance, one of mine is people who queue at the "express check out" in the Supermarket, and then fiddle around for ages to find their money and eventually have to pay by credit card and hold everything up! I also loathe it when my partner doesn't put his shirts in the laundry bag - just drops them on the floor and expects that they will get there themselves!!! So - go on - rant - what annoys you?

I could fill lots and lots of pages with what annoys me. I have high anxiety and it doesn't make much to push my buttons. I have very low tolerance.
Lollygaggers, people who use a lot of double negatives, people who make threats to discipline their children but do not follow through, people who don't use their turn signals, those who do not put their lights on when driving in the rain...
hmmm.... people who are rude, employees/cashiers who do not get off their phones to wait on you, people who constantly interrupt in conversation.
Well, I guess I've said enough. I look forward to other's rants.

Thanks for your contribution. I have to admit I don't actually know what a "lollygagger" is - but it doesn't sound very nice so I will agree with you that they would probably annoy me to! Thanks again for your answer.

Sorry; I don't know if I spelled "lollygagger" correctly. I guess it's a slang word that means someone who slacks off, wastes time, lags behind, or just slow - but for no real reason. : )

OK thanks. Because I am British I quite often come up against expressions here on MyLot that I have never heard of! It is interesting to hear them and learn more about them! And I'm sure you spelt it perfectly correctly:-))

I am annoyed by stupid people. Like the person you describe in the supermarket. I run into a lot of those at work sometimes and it drives me crazy. And since I am working, I have to be nice and polite and let it go. Sometimes I am also annoyed by a friend who calls WAY TOO MUCH. It is nice to be checked on, but if I do not answer, please do not call me back 5 minutes later. It drives me INSANE!

Oh boy, where do I start, where do I end? I can't stand it when someone gets a cup of coffee (here at work) and uses the last of the pot, but doesn't bother to make another pot of coffee. I see this daily, I don't get it, seems like common sense to make another pot. And along the lines of your "express check out" lane, where it is 12 items or less, I get behind someone that clearly has over 20 items. They're either lazy because they couldn't wait in the appropriate lane, or stupid because they can't count, or both. Or the lazy people who can't put the shopping cart back in the cart corral. Telemarketers that can't take NO for an answer, I know it's their job, but I don't like hanging up on people but if the third time I say I am not interested is not enough- I am hanging up. I could go on...

I definitely agree about the telemarketers. I don't like to be rude either. But, if I say "no" nicely the first time, I don't want to be hounded. Then, I'll hang up. I have enough anxieties in my life and don't need to deal with people that I don't know and have already told "no".

I hate it when I have to wait in line at an ATM only to watch some person that want's to play with all the buttons. I guess they want to see if they won something or what will happen if I press THIS button.
I just think it is rude when there is a long line of people that a person will make deposits check, balances, transfer funds, withdraw funds, and make payments, when people behind him or her are in a hurry. At least they can wait in line inside the bank where they can do all these things in person.

Things that annoys me most are:
1. When my boss gives me a work when I am about to leave for home.
2. When someone promised to come at a particular time and came late.

Wow....I could go on and on about "little" things that annoy me on a daily basis....here are a few:
1. When my husband eats a banana, he NEVER manages to get the peel into the trash. It always ends up laying on the counter-top for a while until I eventually pick it up and throw it away.
2. No matter how many times I tell them, my children NEVER put their dirty clothes in the hamper after they take a shower...they always leave them on their bathroom floor, and I have to remind them EVERY SINGLE DAY to put them in the hamper.
3. Whenever someone in my house (besides me) is eating a plate full of food, and does not finish the entire thing, they just put the half-eaten plate of food on the counter-top. On top of having to do the dishes all the time, I also have to scrape the food from their plates into the trash.
Those are just a few of the things that bother me...I'm sure that 99% of the wives and mothers here deal with the same things.

Good topic, there's nothing that cleanses the system more than a good old rant! My main rant is people without manners, I always try to be polite and courteous to everybody and make sure I hold the door open for people, or move aside for people if there's not enough room on the paement. What makes me fume is when I do these things and people don't even have the decency to smile and acknowledge the gesture, let alone say 'thank you'. I once help the door open for a woman with a pushchair who not only didn't acknowledge what i'd done but managed to ram the pushchair into my legs and nearly tripped me up! Okay rant over, phew I needed that.

I'm with you on the manners thing. I was bought up to hold doors open for people and to stand up for those older than me on buses and trains, and it annoys me when people barge through the door I hold open without so much as a "thank you". My Mum used to say "manners cost nothing" and it is so true! Thanks for posting here.

I hate it when a fast food crew doesnt seem to know she's doing. Example, if they keep on repeating your order because they forgot, you asked for a large coke and gave you iced tea instead. I just feel that its wasting my time.

It really annoys me when:
1.My dad spies me when i surf good content on the web.
2.When my Friend tries to put me down.
3.When a stranger dishes out a fly/insect from my cup of coffee.
4.When my classmates do their assignments without my knowledge.
5.When my brother bothers my internet use, by turning off the proxy.
6.When it takes a 1000s of posts, to make a decent payout!

All of the things that have already been said.
People here in the UK who say..."At the end of the day"
People who leave the shop then stand in the doorway talking instead of moving away to let others out.
My daughter-in-law who when we visit her, goes out into the kitchen and spends half an hour on her mobile talking to her work mates who she has just left.
People who park in disabled bays and do not have a blue badge.
Guys who drop their clothes on the floor as they take them off........oh sorry...thats me!!

Ooh, evacuee, you hit another nail on the head. I hate when people block doorways, like at church, or where ever. Don't they realize that's the same exit for everyone else?

People that drive or walk slowly. It's so annoying to be behind that group of people that leisurely walk around in narrow areas (hallways, sidewalks with busy traffic). I'm the type of guy that leaves stuff till last minute so when I leave the house I need stuff to go smoothly to get there on time and these people alwayssss bring me down and build up my frustration!

My work colleagues annoy me... three women who have workspaces right next to mine are obsessed with Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale - all they ever do is talk about them, as if they are real, comparing real things to what happens on the telly. its enough to drive you stark raving mad. I have to bite my tongue most of the time - to stop myself from telling them to shut up in rude words.

LOL! I sympathise with that one! I used to watch "EastEnders" myself a few years back but I gave it up when they "resurrected" Dirty Den because the whole thing became so ridiculous and unbelievable! Thanks for your contribution!

Yeah no one is perfect and if we don't do mistakes then we are not human beings anymore and I get annoyed when I tell someone to do some thing for me in a polite way and instead of helping me out he behaves rudely to me and I don't mind if some one do not do my work but atleast don't be rude to me just for nothing.

I have many, but the most annoying would be people who don't listen when you try to tell them something. You may be trying to tell them the reason for something and it goes in one ear and out the other. I think it is important that people know whats makes a person 'tick'. Everybody want to put people in the same category and I feel we are all different. We have to do whats right for us, not somebody else.

I am annoyed when my neighbor turns on his stereo so loud that I couldn't sleep or concentrate on reading a book. I am annoyed when my colleagues in the office talk about other people's lives all day long instead of working. I am annoyed when I try to call someone and the telephone is busy for all eternity. I am annoyed at the heavy traffic. I am annoyed when a stranger stares at me. I am annoyed when our household help takes a vacation longer than she said she would take. I am annoyed when my mother-in-law gives a very long sermon.
