they were all great responses but you said you just wanted for you wife to be happy. It wasn't easy to pick but I went with the first honest answer. I'm sure they were all genuine but that is exactly what ladies love to hear. "I just want to make her happy" DO her good for Valentines'.

I wouldnt really expect something I would just like to see her as she lives away from me which I am still not happy about...
But we do fine and have agreed its little token presents this year as she is a student and so lacks money. To be honest with you, totally honest, something a little extra in the .... you know what I mean, dressing up or something a little different.

Thats agood one. I know what you mean. I think maybe dressing nice that day could be something, I don't ever have much reason to really just go put makeup on since I stay at home with the kids. I'm pretty sure he is sick of the pony tail and sweats!

I would think that most men don't really expect to receive any kind of gift on Valentine's Day. I know that I certainly do not, and haven't received once for a couple of years now. Without sounding sexist the holiday is geared more towards women. The traditional gifts are chocolate, flowers, and stuffed animals. Something that no guy really wants to receive. I don't believe in holidays like this one. A guy should express his love to his girl at every chance he gets.

Buy him something that he would never buy for himself yet it is something he would like. Personally, I would just want to go on a nice date with my wife. Dinner and drinks ... with no work the next morning!

thank you peaches. That is the problem if he wants it he buys it. He is hard to buy for becacuse he doesn't have any real outdoor interest other than rididng bicycles and he gets all thst stuff he likes. If I think he likes it I'm sure to find it's not of his desire. I guess I could ask him but he will ususally just shrug and give no real answer. I found a heart shaped box of chocolates for men is that too cheesey?
