The First time I played the Sims

I couldn't get it right, my character went to work everyday, and I just did not have time to feed, bathe, and entertain him. Later on I fenced in one of the neighbors, who died and haunted my house. My character became sad. Eventually I started using cheat codes and everything was starting to look up. Then I got married and had a baby, which the next day was taken away by child services. Anybody else recall their first Sims experience?

I started playing the sims when it first came out. It seems like it was a long time ago. I remember my fifteen year old son and his friends teaching me how to play. I would sit and watch them play and I slowly learned how to do it. I can't really remember what I did the very first time but I am sure I killed a few sims accidently.
