If I write a book about time travel and dinosaurs, will anybody here read it. I am thinking about having a time machine accidently travel to the past, then bring back dinosaurs, which certain characters will have to face. The stories is about those who was sent back in time by accident and what happened to them, then about the characters who opened the time machine and released the dinosaurs, and lastly the characters who have to fix the problem and put everything back in place. No fancy dinosaurs, just four or five velocorapters that are very smart and agile. And three groups made up of two to five characters. "Constructive" Critisism welcome.

I'm thinking of five smart (not human smart) raptors that work in a pack to take on prey. No dinosaurs that can talk or communicate with humans. Its just bring these dinos to the future by accident from their time, and they are trying to survive in our world. I just think that by sticking as much to science, while tossing some science fiction into the mix, will allow the reader to be more interested in the book.
I like the response, thank you.

Same with me, time travel is a very interesting thing. I always wanted to write a book about it without going into too much such as what happens if you kill your great grandfather. Put I am putting deep thought into it and how the time travel will affect the outcome of the storie or stories.
Thank you very much for the post.

Perhaps a bit of a new twist on it? For instance, maybe the smart and agile dinosaurs actually did have intellegent plans for this planet that got crushed in the ice age. So, when the folks acidentally go back in time, what occurs is that the people notice that the dinosaurs have intelligent conversation and find out that the dinosaurs have ideas that can save the planet from global warming and pollution...

I was thinking more along the lines of having the raptors be very intelegent animals, like distracting pray while two circle around, or chacing pray into a trap or something. I am more interested in writing a book on fiction that has no real underlaying plot to make the reader aware of real life events, I want to take them to a world where they can escape from real life for a little while. Time travel and dinosaurs just happened to be some of my favorite subjects.
Thanks for the post though, I might incorporate some of that in there.
