What was the last "nice" thing you did for someone?

Not because you had to (like fed your child)
Not because you were supposed to (sent a get well card)
Not becaues it was a special day (birthday, christmas, etc.)
Not because it is your job (gave the man his medicine on time)
Just something that you did because you wanted to, just because sometimes it feels good to be nice?

At Christmas time I found out that a friend of mine was throwing out the girl that lived with her . I didn't want to ruin our friendship but felt she was doing it for all the wrong reasons because she was only doing it because even after stealing the child's money and getting her baby bonus for her and more on top of all this she felt she wasn't getting enough money from the child . So she was going to throw her out right after Christmas . I went to the girl and told her that if she needed a place to stay she could come move in with us and that we did not want her money . I took her in because I think she is a really good kid and I really like her as a person . I don't want her money I just want her to know she will always have a place to live without the fear of being thrown out because of something stupid . I felt that I was doing something nice , not sure if this is the kind of thing you were looking for .
