Hey guys, do you think David Beckham's move to Hollywood would affect his game? The paparazzi are already on Posh Spice's tail. I personally hope that his game would not be affected by Hollywood but we did see how the glitz and glamour of Hollywood affected Shaq (Kazaam!). So let us cross our fingers.

Perhaps. Or maybe his wife wants to make it to Hollywood. She is friends with TomKat.

That is not good for Real Madrid, because they will lost their money resources, but good for Beckham, because he is a profesional. A profesional just play for his life and for money too. and i think Beckham's move will increase MLS rating in the world, so i think this is good news.
Sorry for Real Madrid, they are too stupid for sell David Beckham.

Beckham is either very smart or has smart advisors. He has been able to create a huge "BECKHAM Brand" following. It does make sense to not only cash in on the brand from every possible source.
If he does have acceptable histrionic talent, there is no harm in his developing the possibility of a post soccer career to take care of his monetary needs after retirement! lol.
Many other soccer players on retirement from active sport, go on to becoming coaches, team captains, umpires or just fade away into oblivion.
That is not going to happen to Beckham I think. Whether it will affect his play remains to be seen, but a tapering off of capability is only to be expected as he ages.
Good luck to Beckham. Can you imagine him spending 25% of his time championing soccer for the poor people in developing countries like the legendary Pele?
Methinks no. Beckham's retirement fund needs topping up, so the poor man continues to slave away for his old age! lol

I agree. I also think he is branding himself just like tiger woods and michael jordan. he does need to start thinking of his retirement cashcow... with the lifestyle posh spice is having right now, he'll need more money in retirement.

no offence to any americans reading this, but i think it is a rele bad idea, david beckham playing for los angeles as america isnt known for its football skills...american football yes, but not our kind of football. i mean it was fine when he was in madrid, as they are a good team...still wasnt pleased tht he left england to play for them tho

That is true. Americans have more passion with American footbal than football (soccer). But they are getting close with stars like Mia Hamm (retired) and now, David Beckham. Perhaps Americans will now start watching soccer at the professional level not just with peewee girls soccer games.

Beckham is the hottest footballer...
why we like him?It takes the effort of an extraordinary and talented player to take the game of soccer to new levels, and David Beckham is the kind of player who makes fans stand up.David Beckham is a pop star in a soccer uniform. Not only is he married to Victoria Adams, the Spice Girl formerly known as Posh, but he is the most famous footballer in the world. He is the pretty boy, rock star and teen idol of England, even though he no longer plays for the English Premiership.
