Why is the State Of The Union address on every station?

Won't it all be summed up and thrown back in our face again on all of the morning news programs? Do we really need to devote an hour on every major network to one of the worst orators of our lifetime? There aren't too many things in this world that I wouldn't rather watch. But of all the time slots in the world, why did he have to pick when House is supposed to be on. Approval rating - !

This has been going on for many years, when I was growing up and there was no cable or Dish Network, we always hated when the President spoke, I always thought why don't they make one special channel for everyone for when this type of stuff they could even air it over and over again they do it on all the other channels. Guess no one in the White House has thought about it yet. Tell me something why did you put approval rating -?
