Are the people that produce the different games wrong for just releasing a few?

Is it just me or does it make you mad that when new consoles are released, they only release a couple of systems at a time? It is still hard to find a Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 or even the playstation 2. Should they release more? What could be done to fix this problem? This past Christmas, several people were hurt standing in line for game systems. What can be done to prevent this?

i think the problem is that since they are just producing them and lauching, there should not be enough units at the beggining to the market, but there is also a thing that they not get enough units to the market so the price should be high.
An additional thing, unlike playstation 2, i think the vice president of sony playstation divition or something like that said is not probably that the price of the playstation III will drop, mainly cause the price of production is too high
