are you a frustrated singer? Do you watch American Idol? Or some of the other talent programs?
I Love American Idol and think that the final 12-20 kids are so talented. The getting to that number is rather painful, but when they do, it's really a great program and you have to remember these are just young kids.
I think they are amazing.
Who is your favorite winner to date?
I Loved Carrie I think she is just amazing.

Oh I love American Idol - I'm in the UK but I watch it on satellite. I also like the X Factor which is the UK version and has Simon Cowell too. I know Simon is mean but he's usually right with what he says and there's no point in giving people false hope.
I really liked the guy that won American Idol last year although can't think of his name at the moment. I liked Chris Daughtry as well and couldn't believe it when he was voted off last year.

Last year Taylor Hicks won over kathrine McPhee. It appears that they both are doing well with recording contracts and Chris Daughtry is also releasing his first album here soon. I agree he was such a great rising star I am sure we've not seen the last of him.
Your also right about Simon, he has a pretty good judge of performance however; I believe all of the judges have taken "Mean Pills" this season with their rude and unkind remarks on appearance etc. I don't feel that is necessary. "You can't sing, and the answer is NO" is sufficient. But then that doesn't get the ratings I suppose. LOL
Thank you for your input.

Really? WOW that is a shame that you have to allow that. I too agree that with absolutely no evidence of anay singing talent you are just looking for your 5 mins of fame. However if they have a large butt, or bad hair, or dress funny, I am not sure that needs to be the center of their comments. These are just young kids... that could really mess with their heads at that age. YES they need coaching (Singing) but the personal attacks cross the line I think?

You're right. It doesn't get the ratings when they respond politely, but how rude is it to present yourself as a singer when there is no evidence of talent whatsover.
Also, when Larry King interviewed Ace, Bucky and Kelly Pickler they all said that they had to sign a release giving American Idol the right to humiliate them if there was anything at all about that that was deemed commercially exploitable. And, this season there certainly appeared to be many who fell into that category.

I love the audition shows, but I confess I don't watch it every episode all season. It's a good show though and the talent (at the end, not the beginning - lol) is amazing.

I watch the show but think it isn't as good as it use to be because of to many bad acts. I understand that they want to show bad singers for ratings and entertainment purposes but it's to much now. At the end of the show they showed all the people that made it to hollywood and we only get to see about 10 of them during the auditions. The main people that we see are bad singers which is funny and cool but it's starting to become a bit to much as of late at least I think.
All that being said I still love american idol and will always watch it.

Well said. THat is exactly what I am feeling about the show too. I am a loyal fan but I am feeling that they are banking on us and showing us the worst not the best and way too much of it.
I can't wait until the auditions are over and they get down to serious business.
Thank you for your input.

I am not a regular.
I love to watch it the first few times when they show all of the auditions, but I don't think I've ever watched a whole season.
You have to wonder during auditions if all of these people really think they can sing??

I re-arrange my entire schedule just to watch American Idol.
The auditions are hilarious. But I love having a favorite when the true talent has been chosen. To me it is more exciting than the playoffs in any sport.
Besides I think Simon is easy on the eyes

ahhh a girl after my own heart. He is pretty cute and although rude at times he is usually right on, on his judging decisions.
Tonight was painful, good lord it amazes me how these people act all surprised when they can't carry a tune in a bucket! and what about the people that encourage them are they deaf? or just love them "THAT" much.
I am with you... I think the intensity is worse than any super sport.

I didn't really get into American Idol until a couple seasons back. I wanted to just watch the try out weeks and got hooked . Now I can't go without watching it. This year I like this one guy from Memphis. I forget his name but he had long hair and a long beard and was wearing a fatigue jacket. He took a song and turned it into his own style and sounded good.Last year I really wanted Chris Daughtry to win. Glad he ended up making his own album anyhow. I hope this year is just as good as the last few.

Last season was the first time I actually watched American Idol from beginning to end. I saw parts of the others though. Taylor Hicks is my favorite. I love his voice. Some of the people this season are soooo off the wall. But it's fun to watch.

I do not watch American Idol , since I am in Norway and cannot watch the show. But we do have Idol here in Norway as well. I love watching it. It is fun to watch the auditions as well. Lol I feel so sorry for those who think they can sing but sounds awful.
Do you remember world idol a few years back? When the norwegian guy won? Kurt Nilsen. He just won an award in Norway Saturday. He is such a great singer! I do not think he would have been so famous in Norway if it hadnt been for Idol.

I am another American Idol fan. I am so happy it's back on. It's true, after the auditions are over is when the good stuff begins. Enjoy the show tonight.
