What for you is the noblest profession? I used to think that doctors and priests were way up there in the list, but from what I hear some people consider doctors as just plain money-mongerers while priests sometimes are seen as child molesters. Of course, I hope these are the exceptions rather than the rule.

Yes! I agree to some extent that today's doctors have become too much of money minded! They are no more having any humanity and irrespective of the fact weather the client can afford the treatment or diagnostic procedures they are subjecting these poor patients to under go various tests at the laboratories where they get a cut! How pathetic is the condition? I know doctors who are precribing a medicine from a particular company only as the company is paying them good amount for supporting them! I know doctors begging the Pharmaceutical company managers to arrange a gettother for them or to hold a award ceremony for them ! What a dissgusting thing! Doctors are always being bribed by pharmaceutical companies in one or other way! With this these peiople are not satisfied and they want commission in every thing where their participation is a must! In the name of referrels doctors are making lot of money! In the name of visiting doctors, a doctor stayung on the first floor of a Corporate hospital charges some $10 to see a patoient staying on the second floor of the same hospital! Adding to the miseries the Ventoilator now a days has become a big money mint for doctors as a patient kept on Ventiolator can pull on for many number of days inspite of his/her being critical as the life supporting events are carried by machanical means ! The things are becoming horrible!
Well This is not same with every doctors! I have seen such type of doctors at the same time I know some doctors whio aregood froiends o mine, who not only do the treatment free of cost but they provide the patient with necessary medication and indoor fecilities if needed!I know atleast a couple of my Doctor friends who go out of the way in helping theirvpatients by helping them monetarily too! Such people are making this profession nom doubt the nioblest one, while the former catagory are ruining the name of the profession!
I think Teaching is the noblest profession as it makes and mends many a lives and makes the children as a responsible and useful Citizen for the country in which they live in! It is a profession where a lot of patience is required and it is almost a thankless job money wise! But as far as getting the respewct and regard I think this iis a number one proffession! Thansk dera friend your topic of diuscussion was too good to participate in it!

I believe any profession can be noble depends on the person and in what context you are asking....and also depend on a lot of other stuff...

You know, people can say whatever they want about doctors, but...when the chips are down and you're hurt or sick, you really need them. And they really don't get paid what they're worth. Think about it. They'll save your life, but yet pro sports players makes many times over the amount of money a doc will make.

I think people whose job it is to help others, who put their whole hearts into it are noble. People like Habitat for Humanity, those who build homes for disaster areas, or doctors who go to disaster areas after everyone else has gone home. People like vets who will treat a pet not always based on the owner's income, but on the need and comfort of the animal. Those who run no kill shelters. People who stand out are not always the most noble or heroic. To me they are the ones who go about their lives with sincerity and honesty, who know they need money to live and do their work, but who know success is not always a dollar amount, and especially those who do great things, maybe small, but great things and remember not to let the recognition gained go to their heads.

For me the teacher is the noblest profession. Who taught your doctors to know medicine and how to cure people? Isn't it a medical teacher.
Teaching covers a lot fields. So I think a teacher is the noblest profession. When you think about it all type of profession have a teacher. Even a priest have a teacher. Who taught a priest theology? Isn't it a teacher in theology.
May you be an engineer, a driver, a contruction worker, a carpent, or a soldier. Someone taught you to do all this things. What would you call that person who taught you? A teacher.

I also consider doctor's profession as the noblest of all the profession ... some doctors might be money-mongerers but still saving someone's life is the best job a human being can do for the other human beings...cant say anything about priests...i also consider people running NGO's as having the noble profession as they dont do it for money but for humanity
