In 1907,only two years after the publication of his special theory of relativity,Einstein wrote a paper attempting to modify Newton's Theory of gravitation to fit special relativity. Was this modification necessary? Most emphatically YES!!The reason lies at the heart of the special theory of relativity:Newton's expression for the gravitational force between 2 objects depends on the masses and on the distance seperating the bodies, but makes no mention of time at all.In this view of the world if one mass is moved, the other perceives the change (as a decrease or increase of the gravitational force) instantaneously. If exactly true this would be a physical effect which travels faster than light(in fact ,at infinite speed),and would be inconsistent with the special theory of relativity. The only way out of this problem is by concluding that Newton's gravitational equations are not strictly correct. In my opinion Einstein is better

obviously stein, newton came up with something that could have been discoverd by any smart guy, but stein was a genius!

Best in what? Cooking or drawing? Please place your arguments perfectly and ask our opinions. The contradiction came only becz of the introduction of 'time' factor. If ther was no Newton, no Physics, no Trignometry, and no Einstein

Whilst Einstein's work may be more advanced than Newton's, the latters has more practical applications is real life ... That in my books maks his work worth more. Just as an example of practcal Newtonian ideas ... Newton introduced the idea of milling coin edges whilst he was Master of the Royal Mint in London ... that is to say the marking on the edging of coins to prevent the shaving of metal off the edges. Apart from that as Newton said "If I have seen further it is beacuse I have stood upon the shoulders of giants" ... the same can be said of Einstein.

Well, it's a hard question, but for me, after a long journey of my mind, I conclude that Einstein is better. However, I'm not saying that Newton is bad. Both of them are great, but I'm sorry for never be able to meet them.
