Do you get mad when a person ask to see your ID?

I work for a bank, and have to ask people for their IDs all day long. Some people dont mind, others hate it. I even had a man cuss me about it! I like when someone ask me, I feel like they are trying to protect my money and credit cards. How do you feel about this?

I don't get asked for my ID because I always hand it over with my card that I'm paying with or if I'm at the bank I have it out if it's a transaction that needs it. I don't understand why people would get mad about it but I have witnessed people in front of me getting testy that they were asked for their ID. Now in the rare cases I don't hand over my ID, I get a little upset if the place doesn't ask for ID. Lots of places don't...and every place should.

I think for me I just accept it, depends on the situation. If resonable grounds for the request are there. EG at a pub, a bank or something of the like. In my job I have to carry it and show whoever asks for it. if someone of the street asked I'd say no.

Well, what I find very interesting, is the back of my Debit card says "See ID", but do you think most of them ask? "NO". It is annoying say the least. But it does not bother me when the Bank or anyone else asks to see my ID. It is for my protection, and I feel if we have to let them know we are real, then they are doing their job.

I do not mind when I am asked for my ID when I am paying or buying a drink somewhere. I love it when I am buying a drink actually! Most people think I am at least 6 to 8 years younger than I am and that is incredible! I work as a leasing agent and I do ask for ID before showing any home. I know where you are coming from. Some people get mad at me. Most times, they do not have an ID. So they do not see a home. One man gave me the creeps. I asked, he said he would go get it from his car and was talking under his breath. Then to my shock he got in, started the car, and drove away. Unnerved me a bit. But I remember most people who come in, so if he ever shows back up, I will not be showing him a home.

Honestly I don't care. There is nothing on my ID card that anyone can use against me. I'm so used to showing it at banks, grocery stores, department stores it's nothing new to me. I have 2 ID cards, one is my drivers licenses and the other is my military spouse ID card. Can't get on a military base with just your regular ID card. So again nothing new for me.

I don't get irritated when they ask my ID. I know they're just doing their job and protecting any fraud that might happen.
