Sippy Cups~It's hard getting them clean...

I hate it when i find a sippy cup under the sofa or in the toy box. I hate having to throw them away. I finally found a good way to clean the nozzle. I use a small paintbrush and of course, antibacterial soap. the brush makes it easier to reach into the nozzle and the spill proof valve. Do you have any tips?

Man, do I know what you mean! I just found one that had rolled under unto the third seat of my mini-van! FUNKY, didn't even come close to describing it!!!! Thanks for responding! Greatly appreciate it! Have a wonderful, blessed Valentine's Day full of Love!

well I got frustrated with them as well, and really haven't found an effective way to truly get them clean.*sigh* with my oldest, i finally switched to a sippy cup with no nozzle,or i just don't use them.. but he's older.. I'm going to have to find something for the baby though.. because he's four months and i'll problably start water/juice when he's 6 months... Sometimes when they'd get bad.. I'd boil them in hot water, and it would help get some stuff out of the nooks and crannies, also using the sprayer from the kitchen sink.. sometimes that will help.
Oh also, I really like the toss and use ones, they don't have a valve, but are pretty easy to use, as theydon't leak that easily. And I reuse them alot.. Good luck!

I purchased some of the use and toss sippys, but my son figured out that if he shakes hard enough it will drip. As for now, I guess I'm just sticking to the one with tne nozzle. The paintbrush is doing a good job.

Wow, I never thought of using a paintbrush and I have a bunch in the house. My grandkids are always doing this, a week later I'll find them. I keep sippy cups here for them to use and do pretty good at keeping track of those, it's the ones they bring in with them that get "mis-placed".
I always end up putting them in a plastic container and letting them soak for a day or two.

The way as you have mentuioned to clean sippy cups, yes thats it. Use soft brush with soap or powder. And use hot water preferably for cleaning the sippy cups. And don't scrub it much. Just with light hand remove all the sticky particles & through jetwash let the water do the rest of cleaning.
