With so much to photograph, what really, truly moves you or perhaps makes you feel like you were put here on Earth to capture with your talented eye? Do you prefer take photographs to document your life experiences, your friends, and your family?

Lisa,
I hear that about sunsets - there is something mystical about the transition from day to night. I am very fond of twilight, when the sky is steel blue and the stars start to come out. Please feel free to check out and comment on my twilight photos and I have one sunset pic on my profile which you might like to see. I will pay you a visit and post some comments! Thank you for adding to this post!

Lighthouses are on of my favorite subjects. I try to plan my vacations around lighthouses. I also enjoy taking pictures of the children. I'm a scrapbooker, so I take my camera everywhere with me.

That's great to hear, gypsylady! Aren't photographs just terrific?! Have you ever been to the Oregon or Maine Coasts to photograph lighthouses? Some of the finest in the world are found there! I love taking pictures of children too, but I must say that I much prefer either black & white or sepia when photographing people, but that's just me. Thank you again for responding to my post!

My prefrence is Sports Photgraphy. It is a great feeling when you are able to capture that one great shot. It is a challenging type of photography because you can not set up the shot and you do not determine when the photo op is right. You have to work with the conditions and subjects as presented and have nocontrol over them. Very exciting and challenging.

Great comment! That's one area of photography which I have not explored and it is perhaps the fact that it is so difficult, like you said, that I have not even tried. I like things to stand still...lol. People are a great challenge to photograph because they move! Good luck with that! Sounds like you have a true passion for it and that's what makes it special! Right on! Thanks for the response!

this may sound weird but I like ghost pictures because you can pick out what not soposse to be on the picture and when you spot that something out of place you can try to figure it out!

LIFE inspires me. I carry my camera with charged battery and extra charged battery for backup, incase something interesting catches my eye. When I fly to Phoenix on thursday, I plan to take some pictures out the window, of the plane taking off.

Hello.....
I like a wide variety of styles of photography, but my passion is ultra macro. There are many beautiful things that most people never get a chance to see simply because human eyes cannot focus on extremely tiny things. I've been using a Nikon 4300 Cool-pix that has a decent macro setting, but I found myself always wanting finer details. With limited funds it's not easy, so I started experimenting with lenses from broken binoculars and refractor telescopes. I think you will be surprised at the results I've achieved with my "homemade" lenses. Please check my photos and let me know what you think.

I love pictures of the sky, clouds, sunsets, sunrises, moonscapes and the moon. I love pics of the ocean, and country sides, but I also appreciate candid, every day photos of people and places too!

My children are my biggest inspiration. I love take pictures of other peoples children as well as family portraits. I every once in a while get in a black and white fix and sometimes the 'kim anderson' style (some color, mostly black and white). I am known to our family and friends to always have a camera. I take tons of pictures every where we go no matter what. I have at least 6000 pictures on my computer right now. My husband loves taking macro shots

Sure.
Actually i'm taking up the art of photography. i've been interested in this ever since my grandfather shown me tips, he was a true professional. I'm hoping that pictures i see in the community i run will inspire me but i also hope that other forms will.
Kudos!
