I love camping, especially when the weather is good. Nothing beats going to sleep at night with just that piece of tenting between you and the night. The smell of the fresh air all around and the warmth of the sleeping bag. Cooking sausages on an open fire. Oh shooie, you have me DYING for the summer now. I can't wait. :)
We didn't camp when we were kids. It's just something I took an interest in when I got older. I suppose it was a cheap way of seeing the country. :)

We go to the beach normally but the state park is close since we moved to South Carolina it the mountains so that will be a fun change. When I was a kid all we camped was mountains. We normally just pick a place and stay and fish and just have fun there. I would love to make it to Ireland one day.

Where do you go camping shooie? We usually just tour around Ireland. We go for a few nights and on the last night of our holidays we always book into a bed & breakfast so that we can get cleaned up and relax with no more packing. :)
When I go camping with the girls I bring a small 4 man tent. But when my husband goes we bring a 6 man tent that has a big living area in the middle. It's more difficult to put up though.

I love it, started with my parents when I was about 5 years old. For a long time after I left home and then when I was with my ex-husband I didn't get to go camping at all but now and for the past few years my fiancé and I try to get away with the tent at least once a year, the kids aren't as keen but they have only been once so maybe next time they will enjoy it more. And I have to admit I may be a little strange as I actually enjoy it when we are camping and it rains, I love the sound of the rain battering off the tent especially at night, although I don't much like having to try to either pitch or strike a tent in the rain lol.

We go camping once or twice a year. We share a camper with my In-Laws so when they aren't using it we can. but with hubby work week sometimes we just can't go like we want too. This year we are going camping at 2 state parks here in WI. Devil's Lake and Peninsula State park. I also went camping when I was a kid. We had a seasonal site at a local resort. That was always fun. My kids love to camp, even my 17 year old daughter loves to come with us.

We love to camp.. We like the KOA campsite in the Smokey Mts. of NC.. I've been in almost all the states as a kid. It's been about 2 years since we had been camping.. Need to get back into it..

I love to camo, although I have not been in years. I hope to go this summer with my son. It is so relaxing and an opportunity to realize how small we are in the whole scheme of things. I don't think people camp like they use to, and def. not as often. When I was younger I use to go camping all the time with my best friend.

I kinda cheat and take my Boy Scouts to places I think would be cool to go to and make them enjoy nature as well. 8-)
It is good to give the kids an appreciation of nature and we always make sure we do up a decent hike as well when the Troop goes camping.

With a family with 6 kids, 5 of them boys, you had to camp. There was not enough money to go on vaction any other way. We had great fun as a kid with and old canvas tent with a centre pole.

We will camping a lot more this year as well. I love it. When we lived in California we camped a lot at the beach. This year being in South Carolina we will camp a lot here in the woods down by the lake. We have my father in-laws boat and fixed it and well now can camp and fish. woohoo.
