i have the same case as yours, i think mine is even worst since i would sometimes wake up during sleep and will feel that i have been stabbed on my chest. but i have also consulted doctors and have stress test, and even echogram for my heart, but it says normal... i feel not fine! i wonder what is really wrong with me too.

They are definetly terrible! Does yours feel like the "flutter" too that takes your breath away? I dont understand how I can be fine when I have these, but my doc isnt worried at all! I do suffer from anxiety and I think that has a major roll on them, I am a worrier about everything so I tend to dwell on these!

I hate 'em. Each time it happens I think, "Is this it? Am I having a heart attack?" Mine have two basic causes -- anxiety and dehydration. I have a tendency to forget to drink water every day and the palpitations are a not to pleasant reminder that I am getting dehydrated.
My sister gets them also, her doctor said it was from too much caffeine.
When I get them from anxiety, I take deep breaths and cough a few times, it seems to make them go away sooner. And then I do some meditation and try to relax.

Interesting that you say you get them from dehydration. I will have to see if that could possibly set mine off. I think the majority of mine are anxiety
