Why do we were clothes? Necessity or fashion !!!

In this modern world evrything is as small whatever we use, does that mean that what used to be full should be shrinked to such an extent that we forget the purpose of doing so. Clothes are a beautiful way to show how stylish you are , how well you can show yourself, but does that mean tat you have to wear less, or show more to the outside world to get noticed. or is there sny other logic behind it?
