Saving money is vital these days since the remuneration or compensation that one receives is not proportionate to the increasing cost of living. Whenever I buy something, I put the change, be it coins or bills to my piggy bank. And it pays off to wait since I was able to save enough money for purchase of my basic necessities. I also bring packed lunch at work so that I need not buy my food anymore. How do you save money? I want to hear from you.

I opened a checking and savings account thru Bank of America. They have a really cool program. When you use your debit card thru the checking account, it automatically rounds up to the next dollar. They take the extra change and put it into your savings account. So say you make a purchase for $4.33, they round it up to $5 and put the 66 cents in your savings account. It's not much, but it really add up over time! And they match 100% of what you put in for the first 3 months. So far we have had almost $30 in our account this month from that! If anyone has access to a Bank of America in their area, I highly suggest it! They also have great accounts for students!

What I usually do to save money is window shopping only. I try to buy what's really important and those stuff which I really need. I go to a plea market or baratillo sales inorder to find good but cheaper items. I guess we really need to be practical this days as all stuff are rising. Don't spend to much on electricity, you must also know some recipes that are nutritious but can buy only for a cheaper amount as well.

The only way I can save anything these days is with excess quarters and dimes. I just keep saving and rolling them up.

If I really need to save money, I stay at home so that I won't have to spend any money on unecessary things. I cook instead of eating out. I turn the tv off when I'm just listening to it. :-) When I buy diapers, I calculate and see how I can buy them cheaper, if by 4s, 12s or 20s...
