It is possible you are stressed. Are you working? If you are, maybe you are faced with a lot of load and tasks that you forget to easen and lighten up a bit. Have you talked to your friends about what irritates you? Depression will pass but you need to face it squarely. Give time to yourself and enjoy life. Be positive, stay and mingle with positive people. Try nature tripping or engage in sports you have not been into. Do not underestimate the power of prayer. Have a dialogue with God. Cry. Release your burden to Him. That too shall pass. God bless!

well that is the whole point. This is what depression is. There is no reason for it. That is one of the telltale signs that it is truely depression. If you knew the reason then you would automatically know how to fix it right ?

Hey !!
thats somethimg very strange, but may be the reason you mnetioned are true for your depression without reason. I would say that , you must try to keep your self busy all the time. Keep doing those things in which you find interest, do thjose activities which you love to do. Try to be happy all the time. Enjoy life..its too short!!!

I think you are practiced to think negatively in your life. Whenever negative thinking comes try to change your thinking, divert to positive thoughts or divert to some other activities that interest you, attend some personality development courses everything will be allright

So sorry that you are experiencing this. First off, depression can be an illness. Thinking positive thoughts etc. does not work if you are clinically depressed. Clinical depression is a legitimate diagnosis and illness. Signs of depression can include: lack of appetite, increase in appetite, lack of motivation, exhaustion, crying for no reason, severe mood swings, sleeping alot and more. From my research, clinical depression does not usually clear up on its on. A doctor can help. They can prescribe meds and therapy to help you get through this. There doesn't have to be a reason to become depressed. Something just happens with the brain or hormonal problems for females.
If your depression doesn't subside within a few days, maybe you need to see a dr. I went through a depression after my last pregnancy. I started to have severe mood swings, getting angry at the drop of a hat or crying for no reason. I also didn't want to do anything or talk to other people. Just wanted to stay at home and do nothing, especially sleep. It was due to hormones. Saw a dr. who prescribed some meds. They worked wonders. Once my hormones were back in sinc, I went off them. I'm not one to take meds so I had to be persuaded to and was glad I did. I felt much better. I also have a friend who is clinically depressed and is on meds and goes to therapy. It has done wonders for her. She's much better now and being weened off the meds.
Try getting out more, add a hobby, spend time doing something you like, try something new. Talking about it with family or close friends might also help. If this doesn't snap you out it, you may need to see a dr. Don't let it get worse. If you do decide to see a dr, research depression meds to see which ones are not as habit forming. There are some that are very habit forming and are extremely hard to get off of. Let your dr know which ones you don't want. They'll work with you. Good luck.

Are you under some kind of stress? Maybe the depression isn't related to the stress (I mean, you woudln't get irritated with your friend because your car had a flat tire, that has nothing to do with the other person) but the feelings you get from that stress transfer to other aspects of your life. That is precisely what I'm going through this week.

I felt like that i didn't know what was going on. Then things got really bad and I had no one I could talk to for help so i turned to the internet. After researching I found some self diagnosis tests and they told me I had clinical depression, I followed there advice. The best thing was keeping active and as social as possible, depression thrives when you are sitting doing nothing alone with your thoughts. I really suggest searching on the internet "depression test" and then taking a couple once you know what you have it is a lot easier to fight it, and there is really useful advice and support on all the sites.
