What are the customs abd superstitions when your're getting married in your country? Polish couples, for example, want to get married in a month that contains in their name 'r' letter. (So not mamy people get married in May for example). Another custom is a bride must wear something old, something blue, and something that she borrowed from someone. What does the marriage look like in your country?

Hi. i am from the philippines and we do have customs and beliefs when getting married. For women, the wedding dress should never be worn before the wedding because its bad luck. so we dont really have the choice to fit it and see if we look good on it. some of the minor repair will be done on the wedding day. sisters or brothers should not get married within the same year because its a very bad luck for both couple and we actually termed it as "sukob". During the wedding, rice is being thrown because it symbolizes money. we also have the money dance wherein the as the couple dances relatives and friends can pin money. this custom is practice in order for the new couple to start a new life with the money being pinned. Since philippines is composed of different regions and islands, there are still a lot of customs being practice aside from what ive written. I hope i gave you some info about marriage in my county.
