How do I advise my friend to deal with a heartbreak? The guy is in a completely thrown over the cliff mood now. He wants to quit college. He wont listen to anything that I say and dismisses my advises with 'U dont understand, man'.
And honestly speaking, I cant help him. I never had to face a girl who cheated on me.

Yes man. We can never feel the pain of the guy who has been cheated by a girl in this manner. You will try a billion time but it would be useless because the same thing has happened to my best friend also but he also quits the college because of that girl.

Ya man, every time i see him, I can see it all over him. He used to be such a cheerful guy and now he's shut himself up in his room. This was his first relationship. I guess from the look of it that its going towards being his last too. Anyways thanks for responding.

I think you should for a change try and listen him without interruptins and encourage hjim to talk more about his relationship with the girl. Keep listening and more he will talk more he will be able to rationalise his relationship and will soon be pointing out his failings then the girl's and will be over it, Its called catharisis, kind of stuff psychologist do, one has to perfect the art of listening. HE doen's want your advice or solution, he wants someone to listen to himthat his heart is broken and he is sad. DO that for him and will soon find him taking a lighter view of the matter. Hope it helps you and your friend.

Thanks for the comment, but I've already listened to this guy. He's still wildly in love with this girl. That is the main problem. I have dealt with heartbreaks. I think its becoming a common trend to break hearts, but this is insane. A guy is madly in love with a girl who is cheating him in front of him. She told him that he is inadequate for her, on his face (I wud be in jail for murder, if I was the guy). And still he loves her. OK, if she comes back will he take her back? He just wants to be left alone at this question.
