Sauna Belts and other gizmos

Nowadays we are bombarded with ads of various gizmos like sauna belts, Ab slimmer etc. Has anybody got some experience with these? I feel these things don't work but my wife is pestering me to buy one for her. I could use some good advice.

I personally to feel i am getting overweight and am considering buying a sauna belt. I would be responding to its usefulness once i have used it for around 15 days.
