I think, its just a matter of self-confidence and self-esteem we have. When we hear our friend is going to an abroad country(whichever it is), we feel like we are falling behind him, we feel lowered in our confidence..etc. We dont even go so far as to find out what he will be doing there, how much he will be earning there (not the converted rupees), will he be really as happy as we are here in India, will he be really happy and feel anything greatr about going abroad after, say, 30-40 years? Or, will he think it was all no-great-profit (or even loss) craze of going abroad? Or does it really matter to your being happy where you live?
Time may shortly come, when even the so-called westerners or developed country people may fall into the same habit of going abroad. As I said, its al about self-confidence and self-esteem we have.

there is not a market that can materialise our needs in india.
so many people prefer going for higher studies or in other jobs to other countries which can give more salary or more responsibility.
in IT sector brain drain is coz of the availability of cheap labour and this is what the other countries look upon us as. they think that india has cheap labour and they come down to us and take huge amount of people from the IT sector .
that's why it is called brain drain as we read here, assimilate here and work for someone else other than the welfare of indian society.
