I've never been out of the country.. per ce. I have lived in alaska for a bit. It is by far the most beautiful state i've ever been to. One night i was lucky enough to catch the northern lights. At taht point we were living 18 miles out of town in the middle of no where. Absolutely no ambien light. It was amazing.

I spent a few weeks in Australia on the Gold Coast. It's quite sub-tropical there and absolutely beautiful. I traveled alone and never felt uncomfortable or out-of-place. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I was in Coolangatta, Surfer's Paradise, and Brisbane although I did take a few trips out into the 'bush' and saw some very rural areas. I heard stories of the Yowies which is the Australian equivalent of our Sasquatch and became a believer! There are beautiful birds and vegetation that can only be seen in Australia and of course the kangaroos and koalas that can be seen in the wild along with many other species of animals not found anywhere else. I plan to go back to visit Sydney, Uluru, and the Great Barrier Reef. I hope to spend a few more days in beautiful Brisbane and at least one more day at Surfers Paradise. The people there are well-traveled and educated about the USA. At least one-third of the I spoke with have been to the United States and even the younger people there know alot about politics and world affairs and are able to carry on very interesting conversations. This is a great place to visit and I highly recommend a vacation to Oz.

I would have to say Greece is the best country I have been to. They still have ruins everywhere that you can look at. They are really good about preserving their history. A lot of times you hear about a building that existed, but they are no more visual remains of it. The people there are very nice and make sure you are taken care of as well.
