sometimes i'm guilty of this... my youngest is just 6 so she's really still a baby, especially because her older sister is 12. So sometimes all our attention are focused on the youngest.

I have four amazing children and I love them all the same. I try not to show favortism towards anyone, sometimes its hard my baby is 2 and my oldest is 10 and I think he feels a lot of the time that Im favoring the little one. I see his point. He think that all the kids should be treated like he is being with chores etc... not realizing the age difference. We try to take him out more often on one on one nights so we can focus on him and talk about how he is feeling or even just to hang out. We take turn with all the children so that they have their own time away.

yes, i think me and my husband should again do a one-on-one date with each of our kids. we did this before, but lately we haven't had much free time. thanks a lot!

I'm also guilty of this. My eldest is 8 this year while my son is coming to 2 years. Before my son was born, I thought I'd be fair when treating my 2 kids and I try my best to. However, more often than not, I'll ask my daughter to give in to her brother as he's still young.

i think i might give my son more personal attention than the girls as they are a lot older and quite independant. they dont mind as they know they got it too. he still likes to sit on my knee whereas they would run a mile.i spoil them in different ways by buying them nice clothes and chatting to them about their day. i like to think i dont make any visible difference but i suppose we are all guilty of a little bit.
