What makes for a good discussion

Having just commented on how the proliferation of discussions could harm the quality of mylot it got me thinking,
what actually makes a good discussion thats guarenteed to pull in the 'punters'

This far, what i could think is just be your self, just wrote actual thing's that happends arround you, things that you have interest on discussing it, and topic that you really do and put some care on it.
Don't post fictional topic or things that you create from your imagination just for money, it'll hurt many good people that cares about you sincerely.
at least, that's what i think
