Abortion! Why?

I do not believe in abortion. I believe that every life that is given to us even if not planned is a precious gift from God. If a women does not want her child, there are many many women out there they can not have children that would feel blessed and honored to take that baby when it is born and care for it as their own.

I totally disagree with abortions to me regardless of the situation the baby did not ask to be concieved nor to be killed if you dont want the baby or cant afford to care for the child put the baby up for adoption give the child a chance to have a a good healthy life. so to answer your question i dont think it should be legalized to me its sad yes that women die from abortion but if they wouldve gave that child a chance with someone else they would still be alive. right?

Here it goes. I'm going to give my opinion, and then let everyone go at me. Abortion should not be used as a last minute form of birth control. Their are many other forms. There are too many young girls getting too many abortions. Prevention is the big thing. Legalizing abortion is like saying that it's OK to get "knocked up" and then kill the baby. I don't agree with that. Abortion should only be legal for cases of rape/incest or where having the baby would kill the mother and/or child. That's my two cents.......I'm ready!!!

It isn't for me at all. But I think everyone should have that right to do what they want. I am one that won't judge anyone for doing it. But I would hope if someone would want to do this it is for a very good reason like rape maybe but not for someone who choses not to take care of themself and thinks it is a easy way out.

i am against abortion because first of all it is wrong to stop a beating heart and second of all it causes many health complications. i think that if someone gets pregnant and they can't take care of the baby or they don't want the baby then they should put it up for adoption not have an abortion

Here in the UK its legal and that's a good thing, in my opinion. There are lots of reasons to make abortion available to women and I think that many women would suffer it that right was to be stopped. I do think that culture plays a big part, however. Maybe in some countries families stick together more and will support a young woman who gets pregnant by accident but in the UK we don't have the same kind of culture around the family. Many parents would help support their dughter if she was pregnant but it isn't the tradition for young people to live at home in the UK until they are married and people expect their children to become independent. I also think abortion should be available to women who have been raped and beome pregnant because of that.

There are many reasons why a woman would like to ahve a abortion. I am agree that it should be legalized. At that stadium it isnt a child.

I think that the only time a women should be alble to get an abortion is if she has been raped because other then that there should be no other excuse. There is birth control out there that can stop a girl from getting pregnant. So if she is not taking that and gets pregant thats her own fault not the human life going inside of her!

i think it is vey sensitive issue to comment on .but my thoughts are that i fully disagree with concept of abortion.i think its equal murder and that to a infant.but during extreme cases i think it should be done when it is dangerous to give birth.

yeah, dats right many people really die in illega aboetions, in order to find an other way out they end up giving their lives. i think the govt should legalize abortion which could atleast get women get rid off their problems.

I believe in a womans right to choose what is best for her. 12 week old fetuses are not viable outside the womb, so, I don't believe you're killing a human being. It's just a conglomeration of cells.

For me there are several possibilites to make abortion legal until 12 week: 1. Child is a result of a rape ( i dont have to explain that probably) 2. Child has an inborn serious body disability ( like children without arms etc.) or has a gentic diability ( so many to mention here) 3. The women who is having that child is less then 14 years old ( that is sick that girl can have children since she is not mentally prepared to have them) Well that all

If it is legalized, there should not be any "situations" attached. It wouldn't make sense, because the girl could just lie anyway. I believe abortion is a personal choice, and government should not tell you if you have to have a baby or not. It is your life, and your body, so therefore it's your decision.

I'm no to abortion. Would you feel good on killing your own child? I mean some people had fun doing it but when it comes to responsibility they all backed up. It is not the poor baby's fault and no one has the right to take someone's life.

IN case of any medical emergency it should me allowed(only in case of medical emergency).in abortion we killing a human being,we might say that if the child grows up he will have a tough time,but we dont have the power to decide his fate.And how can anyone conduct public opinion polls to see whether its lawfull to kill someone ,you should see what the foetus goes through when it is killed.ya it can feel the pain,the suffocation.so i dont thing it should even be put for apublic opinion

I do not agree with abortion. Why not be responsable and use contraceptives instead of having fun and then consider abortion. I believe it is a way of murdering.

Everybody has their own opinion on this thread. I am entitled to mine also and I am not in favored of abortion no matter what the cause may be. Why? It's still life, i just can't bare the thought of it. BUT according to various references there are different kinds of abortion and one wof which is the Therapeutic abortion. Reasons of such kind of induced abortion are to save the live of the pregnant woman, preserve the woman's physical and mental health, te terminate preganacy that would result to a child born with congential disorder which would be fatal and selectively reduce the number of fetuses to lessen helath risks in cases of multiple pregnancy. As per the discussion starter, I think you should have pointed out what kind of abortion cause in medical terms, simply saying abortion is very much general. Books adress miscarriage as Spontaneous abortion.

IT IS INCORRECT TO GENERALLY LEGALISE ABORTION ALL ACROSS THE BOARD. I my opinion, we human, do not have the right to take anybody's life. Yes, if medical complications are there then only it should be aborted, otherwise, solution shall not be to end the life of somepone whose own fault is nothing. No, alternatively, those young adventurers should own responsibility of such children, both man and woman and that should be made legal.

I think life is wonderfull.So it must be saved any way.

whether your in a bad situation or not, abortion is still not a good idea. it's not only against your morality but also the one above, unless you're an atheist. i know it's really a hard situation when your pregnant and your not ready for it. i was once in a situation where i thought i was pregnant. it's really disturbing and you dont know what to do. i also end up thinking of aborting the baby but then all my friends told me that they will hate me forever if i'll do it. i never do it not only because im afraid to lose all my friends but because i realized that why would i sacrifice the life of an innocent soul for my mistake. we don't have the right to end up the life of others just because we are afraid to face the consequences for the mistakes that we have made. being in a situation would only prove that life is full of surprises. it comes when u least expect it. you can say that maybe your exempted because you dont want it because you were raped. but still, it is not an excused. i guess you know that babies are wonderful blessings of God. and they too didn't want you to experienced it. but as i said, life is full of surprises and you need to be strong, patient and understanding to be able to handle it.
