recently went to see these in manchester and what a show for a band thats been going over 20 years!
just wondered where people would put these guys against the beatles etc?

I'm jealous. I've never seen them live.
I love the Chili Peppers and the Beatles, but I don't think you can compare them. Only because it's like apples and oranges. They're just different things. The Beatles probably had more variety and were more influential (not that RHCP aren't) but that's not necessarily a measure of who is better.

hi john.
have been into the chilli peppers for years now and to think they have been going for 20 years makes me feel old.
they are a great live act musically and flea never fails to make me laugh at gigs.
his bass playing is brilliant and johns guitar solos are classic, especially on the stadium arcadium album.
i know they have achieved alot in those 20 years or so but feel the beatles would win every time.
it is just for the fact that in the sixties,seventies the beatles were creating music that was totally original and never been created before and were pushing the boundries of that time.
