i work for a small business in a service related industry. The other employees and i work extremely hard at making this business a success but we have a problem with customers that dont pay. Although this does not occur often it is still of great importance because for every customer that doesn't pay it take ten paying customers for us to cover that one. i would like to know if anyone else out there also has a similar problem and how they deal with it?

Here are some solutions for when customers don't tend to pay:
1- Send them out bills
2- Create a system that would allow you to monitor payments that are due daily.
3- If there are past due payments, send out immediatly payment reminders.
4- If customer has financial problems, extend a bit the time of his payments.
5- If the customer becomes a problem, stop any future sales and discontinue to provide him credit.
I hope all the above helps.
