well i am working on final year project ! i want to increase the length of my smps wires ! i mean to say that extend the wires of smps ( all internal wires not power cable ) !
so is there any harm if i cut the wires and add more to it and soldier them back !
will there be losses or any type of problems if i do so !

bro its fine if you increase the lenght of your power cable or increase the ram in your pc but it sounds weird to cut wire and soldier them back by increasing lenght its not a piece of calculator or small gadget' its a pc which built on certain standards and all you need to understand and do is contact some hardware engineer who can help you with it
and all the internal connections and wires follow some limitations and rules set by some standards so messing with them would be rulling your computer
for e.g the hard disk cable is set to be of max lenght of 18 inches if it is pata u cant go beyond this so limits are set to all features
