For instance: I like to add a dash of pepper to everything I salt so that I won't forget I've already salted a dish. Also, when I ice a cake, I place three pieces of wax paper around the edges of my cake plate (overlapping each other on the corners) I then place my cake layers on top and ice as usual. After I've completed the icing process I gently pull each piece of wax paper out from under the edges and viola! No icing on my cake plate! Don't try it with only one piece of wax paper! My husband did and it tore the cake! What are some of your tips?

I clean potatoes with wire wool. Just need a knife to get out eyes and the odd rotten bits. Much less wastage and quick.

Good idea! I'll try that out. another good tip of mine is to add a little lemon juice to your rice to prevent sticking. Also, a little milk in your scrambled eggs and grits improves their taste and texture. Makes your grits pretty and white.
