I'm of the novice level of photography skill, but would love to improve. I'd really appreciate the opinions, comments and suggestions of more knowledgeable folks on my photos. Thankyou.

Thanks for the link. I had a look at some ofthe featured blogs on there and it seems way above my caliber! It has made me think of starting a blog for affiliate purposes though! Thanks again.

I also think she is right. I can comment on your photo but I am not a great photographer as well. That will really be helpful.

It is a very nice photo of the lake and the prespective drawes you into the photo. One ot the things I like in the photo are the rocks at the bottos of the photo. They seem to break up the water and make it more interesting. Keep up the good work.

One of the things I found from my pictures is that having something in the foreground often adds a great perspective. Sometimes it just looks terrible, but when it works, it looks fab. As a novice, the difference between success and failure for me is completely down to dumb luck!

Congratulations. It is a lovely picture. Of course, being blue, it would have to appeal to me, so you could say I'm biased, but I honestly like it. Of course, I don't know what is beyond either side, so it might not work, but if I was taking the shot I would be inclined to offset it a little. It is seldom a good idea to centre a picture, especially not if it is a person. In this case, if the central valley was a little to one side, it might (depending on the extended side) have even more appeal. A good shot.

It was quite some time ago now, but if I took it in my usual 'style', I probably just got in as much of the scenery as I could. If I remember correctly, the views to either side were limited by the trees near us and were mainly of wooded shoreline.

Hi there as a new member I enjoy looking at pictures,as well as taking picture, but I am a real novice at this any how if you have a lot or picture there is a site called Flickr, it is sponsored by Yahoo and there are hundreds of photographers that have posted their pictures and have comments made on them I do not have any thing posted, but I can easily spend several hours looking at some of the photos, they are fabulous. you might give it a try or at least a look see.

Thanks, I also like to see photography forums. I only wish I had more time to look through them, as it's an art-form absolutely anybody can participate in.
