Dream Theater has plenty of heavy songs, but there has to be a heaviest. So what song, or waht riff from what song is it?

Ah, almost forgot about Home! This song however, is only in drop d, and despite being heavy, I'd say that DT has many heavier songs as already mentioned in the discussion. ala Lie, the Mirror, pretty much all of Train of Thought, and others...

Either "This Dying Soul" or "In the Name of God". I'd go with the former myself. But it's a toss between the two.

I would go for "the mirror" or "lie" since its their first songs where petrucci uses a seven string guitar in a album; Train of thought is pretty heavy also.

It may not be the heaviest, but it's heavier than average, and I like it too much: This Dying Soul I just love it! :D The whole Train of Thought is heavy, but they didn't forget about the "progressive" part, that's why it's so good!!!
