Bad experience while watching the opera

Phantom of the opera is one of my all time favourite opera but I don't like the movie because I think the opera is much better than the movie. I've seen it twice in my life, the first time is really ancient so I don't remember it well. But few months ago, I've the chance to enjoy the opera in the arts center again so I decided to see it. Then the worst thing happens while I was watching the opera. This time nobody was allowed to eat, most of the people has turned off their phone but somebody was kicking the back of my chair during the opera. Finally, I couldn't stand it so I turn around and ask them politely not to kick it anymore and I found out that it was a boy under ten probably keeps kicking it. The mother of the boy say sorry and switch the position with his child and finally I can enjoy the show.
At that moment I was quite angry as the tickets are not cheap and I don't deserve this. I think that mother shouldn't bring her child because to the boy I think it is quite boring.
After this, I decided whenever I watch the movie in the theaters, I'll get the sit in last row. So nobody can kick my chair. I don't know if it sounds funny or not but it works.
Anyone of you has the experience? How you deal with it?

I had an experience of a child kicking the back of my seat on an airplane of a three hour flight. After the first half an hour I was fed up of two kids playing in the same seat kicking up the back of my seat. I was already going to ask the hostess to change my seating, when I noticed that something was wrong from her face expression. I feared the worst that of a hijack and decided to shut my mouth. When we landed safely and was going down from the plane asked what was wrong on the plane. She immediatedly answere that an oven was not working well and some passengers complained about cold food.

That's one extreme experience you have. Luckily it was not hijack stuffs.
