I do enjoy watching this movie and it does have some great lines. A couple already mentioned but I do like this set: Buttercup: We'll never survive. Westley: Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has. The two of them interacting was great but his whole thing through the 3 kidnappers really was unique. The way he beat each one and the comments back and forth during it. Very good movie :)

Great stuff. Simply great stuff. I love it. Rodents of unusual size? I don't think they exist.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I hardly ever spend time with my older sister without some quote coming from this movie. Her favorite quote to use on me in teasing as my older sister is Viccini's line to Fessik, "did I hear the word 'think' escape your lips?" I like it when Westley says "true but that's hardly common knowledge" about him wanting a sword but not having the strength to carry one.

Hubby and I have entire conversations just quoting our favorite lines from different movies back and forth. We have done it so often and so long that it is kind of a game between us and Princess Bride is one of the main staples of that game. There are so many lines, so many ways to use the dialogue from this script but our favorites are Indigo's introduction and as a goodbye we often say, "Have fun storming the Castle!!"

This is a great movie. The funniest (to me): "And love - twue love - " "Man and wife - say man and wife!" But my favourite line of all (although it isn't funny) is "I want my father back, you son-of-a..." Man, I cheered in the theatre at that one. :)

"Give us the gate key." "I have no gate key." "Fezzik, tear his arms off." "Oh! You mean this gate key!" Such a great movie.
